Compact EL Wire Controller
The compact controller features two flashing speeds or constant on and is small enough to fit in your pocket. Note that the controller has a small inverter built in and will emit a low volume high pitch sound when switched on (this is typical of almost all EL wire controllers). This controller is suitable for powering a 3m length of EL wire with an approximate battery life of 10 hours (depending on type of batteries used).
About Electroluminescent (EL) Wire
Electroluminescent (EL) wire is commonly used in costumes, decorations and DIY signs. EL wire is a flexible phosphor coated copper wire which glows a particular colour when an alternating current is applied to it. It looks a lot like a very thin neon tube.
